Privacy Notice

Last updated 9 October 2026

This notice explains what happens to the details you give us when you join the Turnload early-access waitlist. It covers this website only.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Maritime Ventures S.r.l., Via del Molo 65 A/R, 16128 Genoa (GE), Italy, VAT number 02955220997 — referred to below as “we” or “us”. Turnload is a brand operated by Maritime Ventures S.r.l.

For any question about this notice or about your data, write to info@maritime-ventures.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what you type into the waitlist form, and the calculator figures you entered on this page:

DataRequiredWhy we ask
Email addressYesTo contact you about early access
Number of trailers you ownYesTo prioritise corridors and sizes of fleet
Your calculator inputs (trailers, utilisation today and your target utilisation) and the result, if you used the calculator before signing upAutomaticTo prepare the conversation about your fleet
Which form you used, the language of the page and the time of submissionAutomaticTo understand how people reach the waitlist
The campaign tags of the link you arrived on (for example utm_campaign=followup), if it had any. They describe the link, not you, and are kept in your browser only until you close the tabAutomaticTo see which of our messages led to a signup

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or third-party tracking scripts on this site. We do not collect special categories of personal data, and we do not make automated decisions or profile you.

If you pick a language in the footer, we store that choice in one functional cookie (lang, kept for 12 months), so the site opens in the language you chose. It holds nothing but the language code. Visitors from Italy are shown the Italian version first; we derive the country from your IP address at the moment of the request and do not store it.

Our hosting provider records standard server log data, including your IP address, for security and to deliver the site. These logs are kept for a short period and are not linked to your waitlist entry.

To keep automated spam off the waitlist, the hosting provider's firewall counts how often an IP address sends the form within one minute and blocks it above a limit. The form also contains a hidden field that only bots fill in, and notes how long the page was open before you sent it. None of this is stored with your entry.

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and does not identify you across sites. It records page views and a few anonymous events, such as a form being sent, together with the fleet size chosen.

3. Why we may use it, and on what legal basis

We use your details only to contact you about early access to Turnload, which is what you ask for when you join the waitlist. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We use them to:

  • let you know when Turnload becomes available on your corridors;
  • invite you, if you are a good fit, to a short conversation about how you manage trailers.

We do not send newsletters or marketing emails. If we ever want to, we will ask for your separate consent first.

We may also process your details on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding demand — for example, counting how many companies of a given fleet size signed up. That analysis is done in aggregate.

We will not sell, rent or trade your details, and we will not pass them to anyone for their own marketing.

4. Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions under a data processing agreement:

  • Supabase — stores your waitlist entry in a database located in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Vercel — hosts this website, receives the form, runs the spam checks, processes server logs and provides the cookieless analytics.
  • Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.) — the email service we use to write to you.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist entry until you ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after your last contact with us — whichever comes first. If Turnload does not proceed, we delete the waitlist within three months of that decision and tell you before we do.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • leave the waitlist at any time, after which we delete your entry.

To exercise any of these, email info@maritime-ventures.com. Every email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your data, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In Italy, where we are based, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to the waitlist is limited to the people working on Turnload who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect what you give us.

8. Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell the people on the waitlist by email.

Operator details are in the Imprint.
